Refund, Returns & Chargeback Policy

version 0.2 · effective 2026-09-09 · under final legal review before launch

In plain English

Software: delivered by license grant, final once granted, with real exceptions — non-delivery, unfixed severity-1 defects, statutory rights. Physical merchandise has its own returns terms and its own statutory rights. Chargebacks revoke licenses automatically.

1 · Software: the default is final on delivery

This section covers software products only. Physical merchandise is covered by §6, and the rule below does not apply to it.

Software products are digital goods delivered by license grant, usually within minutes of payment. Once a license is granted, the sale is final and the purchase is non-refundable — the industry-standard rule for escrowed digital assets, because delivery cannot be undone.

By completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that, where applicable law provides a withdrawal period for digital content (for example, the EU/UK 14-day right), it ends when delivery begins with your consent. Statutory rights that cannot be waived are unaffected.

2 · When we do refund

Non-delivery: you paid and no license was granted — full refund or immediate grant, your choice. Our fulfillment ledger makes this checkable in minutes.

Severity-1 defect we can't fix: if a product is unusable for its core advertised purpose in a supported configuration (per the published framework/version matrix) and we fail to fix it within a reasonable period after our published SLA, you may request a refund with license revocation.

Duplicate purchase of the same product for the same community — refunded on request.

Pricing errors — handled per Terms §3.

3 · What refunds don't cover

Change of mind after delivery; incompatibility with configurations outside the published matrix; conflicts caused by third-party resources or modified frameworks; server closure; features explicitly labeled planned, provisional, or [MEASURED-PENDING] at purchase time — labels exist so you can buy on facts, not hopes.

4 · How to request one

Email support@vicedrip.com from your purchase email with the order/transaction id and, for defect claims, the reproduction details from your support ticket. Refunds are processed through Tebex (the merchant of record) to the original payment method. We respond within our published first-response SLA.

5 · Chargebacks

Contact us before disputing a charge — most issues resolve faster through support than through your bank. A chargeback automatically revokes the associated licenses (recorded on our audit ledger) and may result in refusal of future service. If a dispute is resolved in your favor with the payment provider, that resolution stands; we simply also terminate the license, because a reversed payment and a live license cannot coexist.

6 · Physical merchandise — returns, damage, and delivery

Merchandise is a physical good, not a licence, so the digital-delivery rule in §1 does not reach it and neither does the immediate-delivery consent you give for digital content at checkout. Your statutory rights over goods are unaffected by anything on this page.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items: tell us within 30 days of delivery with a photograph and your order id, and we will replace the item or refund it — your choice. We pay return shipping in these cases; you are never asked to pay to correct our error.

Change-of-mind returns (unworn, unwashed, original condition): the return window and who pays return shipping are [terms-pending] — genuinely undecided, not withheld. Nothing is being sold on this rail until it is set, and we will not take an order under a returns term we have not published.

Delivery timing: we do not currently publish a shipping estimate, because we have not shipped an order and would be inventing the number [measured-pending]. Where the law sets a default — in the United States the FTC Mail Order Rule requires shipment within the time stated, or within 30 days if no time is stated, with the right to cancel for a full refund on delay — that default applies, and we will meet it or refund.

Consumers in the EU and the UK: for goods bought at a distance you have a statutory withdrawal/cancellation period that cannot be waived by our terms. We ship to United States addresses only at present, so this is stated for completeness rather than because it is currently in use.

Policies are versioned; material changes update the version and effective date above and are announced before taking effect. Nothing on this page limits statutory rights that cannot be limited by contract.
