FiveM Install Pre-Flight Checklist

An interactive pre-flight checklist grouped into before you download, before you install, install, first boot, verify, and rollback readiness. Tick items as you go, track progress, and copy the whole list — with your progress marked — as plain text.

Ticked state lives only in this page's memory for this visit — not in localStorage, not in a cookie, nowhere persistent. Nothing you tick is transmitted anywhere.

Scope, stated plainly

What this checklist covers, and what it does not.

What it does

  • Groups a pre-flight checklist into before you download, before you install, install, first boot, verify, and rollback readiness, with a running progress count.
  • Lets you tick items as you go and copy the whole checklist — with your progress marked — as plain text to paste into your own notes.
  • Keeps every tick in this page's own memory for the duration of your visit, nothing more.

What it does NOT do

  • Does not save your progress between visits — there is no localStorage, cookie, or account behind it, so refreshing or closing the tab clears it.
  • Does not install, download, or touch anything on your server — it is a checklist, not an installer.
  • Does not know which items apply to your specific resource — some rows (an escrow manifest check, for instance) only matter if the resource you're installing is actually escrowed.
How to use it

Four steps.

  1. 01

Work down each group in order: before you download, before you install, install, first boot, verify, rollback readiness.

  2. 02

Tick an item once you've actually done it — the progress count updates as you go.

  3. 03

Skip anything that genuinely doesn't apply (an escrow check for an open resource, for instance) rather than ticking it blindly.

  4. 04

Use Copy as text before you close the tab if you want to keep a record — nothing here is saved automatically.

Why a checklist at all

Most install disasters were a skipped backup, not a bad script.

The failure mode that actually ends a server isn't usually a bug in the resource you just installed — it's the missing backup, the restart nobody tested, or the rollback plan that only got written after something already broke. A checklist doesn't make you a better engineer, but it does make sure the boring, unglamorous steps that actually prevent disasters happen in the same order, every time, whether it's your first install or your fiftieth.

Questions, answered directly

Before you rely on this list.

Will my progress be there if I close the tab or refresh?

No — and that's deliberate. Ticked state lives only in this page's React state, not in a cookie, localStorage, or an account, because this checklist is built to work in contexts where browser storage isn't reliable. Use the copy-as-text button before you navigate away if you want to keep your progress.

What does "copy as text" actually copy?

The full checklist, grouped exactly as shown on the page, with [x] next to everything you've ticked and [ ] next to everything you haven't — plain text, ready to paste into a notes app, a ticket, or a message to your team.

Does every item apply to every install?

No. A few rows — the escrow manifest check under Verify, for example — only apply if the resource you're installing is actually escrowed. Tick or skip based on what's actually true for your situation; the list is deliberately broad so it covers more installs than any single one needs in full.

Does completing every item guarantee a clean install?

No. This is a discipline checklist, not a test suite — it cannot see your server, your resource, or your config. It exists to make sure the well-known failure points (no backup, no read of the console, no rollback plan) aren't the reason an install goes wrong, not to certify the install itself.

Is anything I tick here sent anywhere?

No. Ticking a box updates this page's own React state and nothing else — there is no fetch call, no upload, and no server behind this page.
