FiveM Dispatch Script Buyer's Guide (2026)

The short answer
A dispatch script owns the next five minutes of an incident — call creation, priority, and which unit is actually assigned — and its failure mode is chaos, not corruption: the same call becomes three call cards, two units self-assign to the same job, and nobody can tell which one is real. It is a different product from an MDT, which owns the case afterward. No standalone Vice Drip dispatch product exists; CaseLink MDT's planned case spine covers it, still in development.
Dispatch is the next five minutes; the record is the next five months
A dispatch script routes live calls and unit status — it is about what happens right now. An MDT is the record layer underneath it — identities, charges, case history — and it is about what happens afterward. This guide covers the buying decision for the live-call side specifically; for the record layer, see /guides/fivem-mdt-script-buyers-guide, which draws the same distinction from the other direction. Many products bundle both under one name, which is exactly why you should ask which half you are actually evaluating.
Where call state breaks
The signature failure of this category is duplication, not corruption: the same incident gets reported by three different sources — a 911 call, an officer's own report, a citizen's phone tip — and becomes three separate call cards instead of one shared incident with three inputs. Ask specifically how the system deduplicates or merges related reports, because most do not, and the result is a dispatch board nobody trusts.
Unit assignment authority is the second failure point: can a unit self-assign to a call without a dispatcher or a server-side check, and what stops two units from both being assigned to a call that only needed one? A call lifecycle also needs defined states — created, assigned, en route, on scene, closed — and a defined answer for what happens to an active call across a server restart, rather than the call simply vanishing along with whoever was tracking it in memory.
Priority and routing are not cosmetic
If a call's priority is suggested by the client rather than computed server-side from call type and context, an urgent call can end up ranked behind noise, and a low-priority nuisance call can visually dominate the board because a client asserted urgency it does not have. Ask how the queue actually orders itself, and whether that ordering can be influenced by anything the client controls.
Integration: does the call survive past the call?
A closed dispatch call should be able to become the seed of an MDT case, and a K9 or evidence entry generated during that call should be able to reference it. Without documented exports, a dispatch script is an island that forgets the incident the moment the last unit clears — see /guides/fivem-asset-escrow-explained for why an escrowed product's export list is the entire integration surface you will ever get. The record side of this handoff is covered in full at /guides/fivem-mdt-script-buyers-guide.
What dispatch scripts cost
The only dispatch-relevant price point in our July 2026 survey of 13 stores is bundled: an MDT and dispatch system together at $69.99, n=1 (2026-07-15; full method at /guides/fivem-script-prices). That figure alone is informative — dispatch is rarely sold as a standalone line item, which means the price you actually pay for call routing is often invisible, folded into a larger MDT purchase you cannot decompose. If you are evaluating dispatch on its own, ask the seller to price it apart from the record layer.
The buyer's checklist
Seven questions. The deduplication and assignment questions are the ones a quiet demo server will never surface.
- 1 · Deduplication — how are multiple reports of the same incident merged into one call rather than several?
- 2 · Assignment authority — can a unit self-assign without a server-side check, and can two units be double-booked to one call?
- 3 · Call lifecycle — are states (created, assigned, en route, on scene, closed) explicit, and how does an active call survive a restart?
- 4 · Priority computation — is call priority server-computed from type and context, or client-suggested?
- 5 · Integration exports — what documented exports let an MDT, evidence system, or K9 script reference a specific call?
- 6 · Performance, measured — resmon idle and active with artifact, framework, and date; method at /guides/fivem-resmon-script-performance.
- 7 · Escrow split, dated changelog, and a written SLA in hours — full standard at /guides/how-to-vet-fivem-script-sellers.
What to verify before you pay
If a trial exists, fire two near-simultaneous reports describing the same incident and check whether the board shows one call or two. Then put a call in progress, hard-kill the server, and confirm what state it resumes in — whether it survives at all, and whether the assigned unit is still correctly attached to it.
Where Vice Drip stands
There is no standalone Vice Drip dispatch product to buy. Dispatch is designed as part of CaseLink MDT's planned case spine — the same record intended to tie dispatch, evidence, EMS, and K9 into one continuing story rather than four systems that each keep their own table. CaseLink MDT (vf_mdt) is in active development: not built, not purchasable, no release date, no measured performance. Its full status, and the record-layer argument in detail, is at /guides/fivem-mdt-script-buyers-guide; its preview page at /products/preview/vf_mdt states a provisional planned price of $44.99.
So this guide is published ahead of a product in that category, on purpose: it is the standard the live-call side of our own case spine will be held to when dispatch ships as part of it, not a pitch dressed as buying advice.
Questions, answered directly
What is the difference between a dispatch script and an MDT?
Dispatch routes live calls and unit status — it is about the next five minutes. An MDT is the record layer: identities, charges, warrants, case history — it is about the next five months. Many products bundle both, which is why you should ask which half owns which data before you buy.
Why do duplicate calls happen in FiveM dispatch scripts?
Because most systems do not deduplicate related reports — a 911 call, an officer's own report, and a citizen tip about the same incident can each spawn a separate call card instead of merging into one. Ask specifically how the system handles that before assuming it does.
Can a unit assign itself to any dispatch call?
It can if assignment is not validated server-side, which also allows two units to be double-booked to a call that only needed one. Assignment should be checked against a server-held record of who is already committed, not accepted as whatever the client requests.
How much does a FiveM dispatch script cost?
The only relevant figure in our July 2026 survey of 13 stores is bundled: an MDT and dispatch system together at $69.99, n=1. Dispatch is rarely priced on its own in the market we surveyed, which is itself worth knowing before you shop.
Does Vice Drip sell a dispatch script?
Not as a standalone product. Dispatch is designed as part of CaseLink MDT's planned case spine, which is in active development — not built, not purchasable, no release date. See /guides/fivem-mdt-script-buyers-guide for that product's full status.
What happens to an active dispatch call if the server restarts?
That depends entirely on the script, and it is a question worth testing directly rather than assuming. Ask for the call lifecycle's restart behavior in writing, and if a trial exists, put a call in progress and hard-kill the server to see what state it resumes in.
